The Vegvísir (or Nordic compass) is a magical symbol from Norse mythology that helps the one who carries it find the way in difficult times.
In ancient times, it was a symbol of protection widely used among Nordic sailors or travelers. It was said that its wearer would always find his way home, even if the weather was unfavorable or he found himself in unknown territory.
